The music of Edmund Rubbra (1901-1986) contain so many meditative qualities which still resonate in today’s search for the spiritual. Rubbra not only draws his inspiration from Western Christianity, but also from his lifelong interest in Eastern thought and music. This release contains all of Rubbra’s works for Chamber music as well as his songs with harp. Performers on this album include soprano Tracey Chadwell, harpist Danielle Perrett, and cellist Timothy Gill.
