This is a unique release from Metier, that consists of three solo works, for clarinet, cello and oboe, which combine to form one multilayered composite work for the trio (TIDE). James Weeks's music has been performed by many of the top ensembles and soloists in Britain. He is the Artistic Director of EXAUDI and maintains a busy international touring schedule with the ensemble. The performers here are at the absolute top of their respective trees: CHristopher Redgate, arguably the world's no. 1 oboist in contemporary music; Anton Lukoszevieze (Cello) and Andrew Sparling (Clarnet) are likewise incredibly talented and leading edge musicians. The music itslef is very advanced and contemproary but also amazingly addictive and listenable.
