Her voice and character slip into Sheherazade and incarnates the distant East, including the Mediterranean, Persia and India, being a little pagan, Christian, Jewish and Muslim. Her narration is above all a fight against the fatal death sentence for each of Shariar’s wives ever since he had been ridiculed by a voluptuous sultana.
